5 Points Elevator is looking for a person who would like to join our team and prosper in a rewarding career as an Elevator Journeyperson. We provide a very competitive salary and benefits package for our team players.
If you routinely work on; car, van, truck, airplane, boat, motorcycle, furnace, air conditioner, printed circuit boards, robots, hydraulic systems, security systems, or telephones you may be a candidate for this position.
WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU
- Must practice good safety habits
- Must have a HS diploma or GED
- Must be willing to invest in yourself
- Must be willing to actively participate in our continuing education program
- Must have or soon purchase a 3/4 or 1-ton work vehicle
- Must have basic mechanic hand tools
- Must be mechanically inclined; we remove and replace mechanical parts
- Must learn to trouble shoot and repair electrical failures
- Must enjoy cleaning, lubricating and commissioning systems
- Must be able to organize and order replacement parts
- Must clean and organize work area before and after use
- Must be willing to learn how to test and replace life safety components
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be punctual
- Must be honest and have integrity
- Must be physically able to climb stairs, ladders, and get in and out of elevator pits on a daily basis
- Must be able to understand assigned tasks, complete them, and report back when completed
- Must be able to use Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must be able to maneuver the internet, to purchase material and research information
- Must be able to text and email
- Must have some flexibility in work hours
